Challenge

We molded a construction product for a customer that was designed to accept a particular size of bolt. With the expansion of their customer base, it became clear that they would need to fit different sizes of bolts into their product. One day he contacted us exclaiming “I need you to build me another injection mold because I need to attach a different size bolt to this component”.

Solution

After our engineer reviewed the application and the design of their mold it was determined that we could meet our customers’ need by creating interchangeable pins in the mold to accept the different sized bolts.

Benefit

We had his mold modified in under a week, saving our customer thousands of dollars.
